Compared to portable flares, these aerial flares can be seen from a greater distance.

Less expensive than SOLAS grade flares, these flares are a good option for coastal or inland use. In case of an emergency on a lake or shoreline, they are super easy to throw. Simply open the breech, remove one of the flares from the shoulder strap, attach the flare, close the breech, then aim up and fire. The flares reach a maximum height of 500' and burn at 16,000 candlepower for seven to ten seconds.
